Just a place to post smells you love and smells you hate. And I mean unusual ones, not the obvious that you teenagers will post


I like : candles burning, matches.


And I hate : petrol, dentists's surgeries.

I'll think of more later

 

I love the smell of cocaine in the morning. *Sniffff*
That should have been coffee!

Gotta say, candles and matches are nice indeed. Tabac (not smoking yet) is nice as well.
The air when it's raining.
Also, wood. I used to smack my nose on the table at grammer-school. Not only because the teacher was boring. The tables were made of wood!

Things I don't like: Deathbreath-people. I could spare a mint, really.
Burning corpses. Cadavers, I mean. Flies for example, who are roasted to the lamps.
Rotting grass. We got piles of mown (Sp?) lawn laying in the sun at summers.

 

Being what I am - I have a very strong sense of smell, which can get me into trouble

Gloss paint
fake wood
new Cds
clothes that are just ironed
wet copper

 

Like: Cigarette smoke, specifically Marlboro Reds. I quit smoking when I was 16, but as a child my Grandpa smoked those things like he was a human chimney. Grandma too. I loved visiting them and now miss them dearly. So now whenever I get a whiff of that brand of smoke, I get a nostalgia rush of fond childhood memories. It's only that brand, though. The rest make me sick.

Dislikes: Nail Polish & Remover. The smell of freshly opened medical supplies. Reminds me of scary doctors office visits as a kid.

Funny how we associate memories, good or bad, with certain smells.

I love the smell of this particular girls perfume that my ex wears Its so ...sexy!

I hate smoke smell.I really hate it, I really really hate it.I mean I can't resist my urge to scream like "I HATE CIGARETTES!".
I like candle smells, especially those with Vanilla.

 

I don't particularly liked the smell of corpses. Though the cutting and disecting is a whole different kind of fun in itself.

Other nasty smells? Marihuana for one, as well as breath of people who smoke and drink coffee a lot. Seriously, brushing your teeth doesn't help it. Ceasing to breathe will

 

I really like the smell of wood smoke. Nothing is nicer then reading a good book in from of a fireplace with some well aged hardwood burning.

I dislike the smell of onions, coffee, cigarette smoke, wet dog fur, and dog breath.

 

I like the smell of rain on a warm summer day when it hits the hot pavement. That is the pure smell of summer for me.

I also adore the smell of *woman*, that is just the best scent imaginable.

 

Thats a point, i don't like the smell of weed (it friggin stinks!) or fag smoke on my clothes ...

 

I am all set to go With Joacqin on this one.
I simply love that smell. The smell after a lightning storm in the summer with heavy rain. Mmmm. A splendid walk in the forrest.

 

Fag smoke, huh? Is that any worse than heterosexual smoke?

Ditto on the smell after rain storms. Living in the city has given me the appreciation for probably my favorite smell of all: fresh air. Especially the air breezing in off the ocean onto the beach. Mountain and/or forest air runs a very close second.

 

I love the smell of freshly sawn wood, and the house on Thanksgiving day when dinner's almost ready.

Nothing much new to add on the bad side, except maybe spoiled milk.

 

Strangely enough i hate the smell of brussels sprouts, but i like eating them. They just leave this penetrating smell in your house.

 

I hate the smell of:

Uniforms that have been worn for a week and not washed at all.

Rifle oil.

Engine grease.

The interior of armored vehicles.

Combat rations. ( I swear they are a form of biological weapon, only used against ourselves and not the enemy.)

Eyrgh. Yep, a soldier's life is crap. 2 more months to go before I regain my freedom from the Singapore Anal-retentive/Armed F*ckers/Forces.

 

I hate burnt tobacco(sp?), spirit, paint(the one used to paint the walls), the piece of cloth my sister is smelling when she sleeps(disgusting).

I like certain flowers(how romantic), pizza and gyros(it's a Greek food served at fast-foods).

 

I despise the smell of salmon, raw, but especially cooked. I swear, it makes me wanna puke every time some insensitive moron serves it up...

 

Hmm, i'm not so keen on the smell of NEW books, but i like the smell of OLD books.

Like smells of: rainstorms in summer, Ganja, some tobacco, Red Bull, Coffee, Wood (freshly cut preferably), My Jean Paul Gautier (sp) aftershave.

Don't like smells of: unclean people, cooking cabbage, my behind , vomit, public toilets.

 

I love the smell of alcohol and of coffee. After those, the smell of air after rain, preferrably with some conifers scent and the smell of seaside in the morning followed closely by that of the evening. There are also some perfumes that make me less than controlling myself, although they are rarely beating the scent of newly washed body preferably with some nice soap accent

From some widely known ones: opium and sandal tree (supposing I get it correct )

 

Hey some good ones there I like the smell of mornings too. And Bacon cooking, there is nothing more guaranteed to make me drool like a St.Bernard
I really, really hate petrol It makes me feel sick and yukky.
