[IMG] How do you prounounce 'taluntain'? I know I keep saying it wrong when I'm talking about the boards to my friends, Because I daresay it is said 'TAL-un-TI-an'. Could you please type how to say it, Because I don't want to keep using your name wrong.
    Thanks in advance :).

    Shralp: ROTFL!!!!!!

    According to the spelling:

    TALUNTAIN
    Tal-un-TAYNE
As in the word Vain or Pain. The A in the -ain- is a long A

I have heard others who wish to pronounce the -ain- as Tal-un-Tin

    [IMG] It's elven, pronounced Tal-un-ten.

The u in "un" pronounced as ou in the word "you".

[IMG] That has to be a candidate for next years best post Xenecor. You actually explain to someone who writes in english how it would have sounded if it were english, and not an elven elven(elvish?) name. LOL :D. I would have said. "doh"

Taluntain means "enlightened" by the way. second last block of text.

Nobleman: That's not even what I was saying. I was telling him how I thought it was pronounced. The examples were to associate known pronounciations with the name. Nowhere in the post did I say "this is how you would pronounce it in english." Extremist was the one who mentioned that. Not me.

    Mollusken ... I'd say

Mole (as in blind ground dwelling critter)
    u (as the U in stupid...like me ;) )
sken (as in KEN, Barbie's boy friend with an 's' first).

I know I'm wrong .... but then again I think Sharlp is pronounced like "Sharp" and that xenecor is pronounced like "Listerine" ;)

    Sil-ver-blade

Sil, like the old guy who used to be here Syl Moonbow

ver - like at the end of Silver, as in Hi-Ho-Silver

Blade - rhymes with spade and is used for slicing and dicing.

    me so smart :borg:

Almost everybody can pronounce my name correctly. If can't you must be really bad in English.

    Me fail English? That's unpossible!

I always thought it was Ta-LOON(fitting, I might add)Tay-In....oh well

    Some others I've probably butchered:

    Arwen - Ar-Wench

    Mathetais - Math-uh-Taze

    Xenecor - Zeena-core

Moeken - Mo-ee-ken "Like last of the Mohicans"

    Crawl - Stumble ;)

Kitiara - silly-blond-chick! (Kit - ya know I love ya!)

    Tiamat - wondergirl

    Skedaddle - Skeee-daddle!

    Ragusa - Ruh-Goooooooooooooooooooosa!

    Avarahtar - Av(for short) Uh-var-rah-tahr

Well - that's all I can think of.....Plus, I have to study more!
