Show Experience Earned?

    [​IMG] The other day I read about a code (like cheats=1) to add to the .ini file to show the amount of experience you get in all quests, but now I can't find it... Help?

    you need patch 1.06 in order to get this to work. if you dont have that patch you can get it from this site in the IWD section.

    just type this line under Game Options once you get into IWD.ini file:

    Show Quest XP=1

    [​IMG] Okay, I'm confused about these. I was playing IWD on a different computer for a while and the Cheats and Show Quest XP both worked. Now I've gotten a new computer and installed only patch 1.06 and they do not work. Is there some quirk that says I need to install all three patches in order before certain things will work???

    you only need patch 1.06. make sure you alter you IWD.ini file again. i have moved various games to other PC's, but i had to alter the .ini in order to get the cheats and show quest XP to work.

    I modified the ini file with both lines properly. In fact, I printed out the ini file from the computer it works on and compared it to the one where it doesn't work. They are identical. Help??!?!?

    Unfortunately for me I won't be getting BG2 for another two months, so this is my only outlet!!!

    The showing of quest xps earned does not occur, the game still says "experience earned". Hitting ctrl-tab to bring up the console does nothing at all.

    [​IMG] Where did you put that line in?
    Go to the icewind.ini file and under [Game Options] the last line will read Show Quest XP=0.
    Just change the zero there to 1 and it'll work.
