shapechanging question

    [​IMG] Hey I have a question concerning the Druid's shape-changing abilities, I wonder if ability scores (ex. strength 20) would matter if I say change into a bear, will a base strength of 20 matter or will my strength be pumped up to 20 or a high number regardless of the base, thanks! :)

    iirc the shapeshifting forms have fixed stats. if you are stronger than the bear you will loose some STR for example.

    Your original stats dont matter. Str, Dex and Con get fixed to those of the shapechange.
    AC from armour and sheilds is ignored.
    Bonuses from items and spell still do affect the stats.

    The "mental" ability scores (INT, WIS, CHA) of your bear will be the same as those of your druid form though. Only the physical stats get replaced by the bear's.
