Shaengarne River Quests

    [​IMG] Can someone plz tell me how can i access the free the logjam quest and the topple thw stone quest in chapter 1 shaegarne river?

    Can you be more specific please? I guess, you meant destroying the dam but not sure.
    If so, you must destroy at least two support beams out of three. One of them is out of your reach and can only be destroyed by ranged attacks.
    I suggest you to read the walkthroughs in this site.

    No.Iam refferin to the available quests at the Shaegarne river called "Find a way to clear the log jam" "Find a way to topple the stone"
    The log jam is situated in the river just above the spot where u can save Sabrina Fairwynd (Druid's wife).
    To be a little more specific in Chapter1 Shaegarne river (the place where chapter 1 beggins , the one where u can find Dereth Springsong the druid and save his wife) there r 2 available quests called :
    - Find a way to clear the log jam: 450 xp
    - Find a way to topple the stone: 450 xp
    I need to know can I activate them.

    The "Find a way to topple the stone" quest isn't in the game; it's probably something the designers intended to put in there, but it got scrapped for some reason (there are quite a few of those quests in the game). I'm not entirely sure about the "Clear log jam" quest, but I suspect that it is also one of those missing quests.

    Bottom line is: don't get too hung-up on what the quest overwievs you can find on the web says; there are lots of things that didn't make it to the finished version of the game.

    OK, now I get it. :)
    You can remove one of the logs where you find and rescue Dereth. Press "ALT" key and you will see two of them are highlighted. One of them can be reached from this side. Attack it and half of it's done. To reach the other log, you must proceed through Sabrina. When you click the other log, you will gain XP for cleaning the log jam.

    The other quest will be done automatically at the end of this map. When you talk to Torak, he will flee east to next area. While fleeing he will knock down a huge rock, in order to pass over a stream, and you will gain XP.

    I dont get any XP for doing these actions
    None
    Is it possible that these quests only exist in the collector's edition version?

    Well, I don't think so.
    I'm sure I gained XP for them and I'm pretty sure that I didn't buy "Collector's Edition" :D

    Do you mean it didnt say like "Your party gained experinece" or similiar rather than jus an amount? Actually thinking back on this "quest" i don't think i got any experience from it, its hardly a quest because your trying to go forward and it's just in your way. It's more of an obstacle than a quest. However i haven't got any saves near it so cant check.

    You do not, I repeat not, get any XP whatsoever for any of these "quests". Nor do they show up in the text window, like: "You have toppled the stone" or some such.

    These quests simply do not exist. I know, I've played through that part of the game exactly 5 times.

    "You told Dereth Springsong of the destruction of the dam". 375

    [​IMG] I told you in e-mail that that list contains a number of quests that are NOT present in the final game because they were taken out before the game shipped. I don't see what's so hard to understand about this.

    I'm quite at the end of Prologue(HoF) by now. Soon I will be heading Shangarne River and I'll check if these quests are appear or not. However, as I stated before I'm pretty sure that they do appear. If someone can tell me (and if it is OK for admins) how to do, I would like to have my post include a screenshot.

    I don't know how to do so.
    I think I will just play and see if these are quests or not. I will let you know and at least I will know the truth.

    EDIT:
    I think I mader a mistake. I passed the area and never gained XP for these. :o
    Maybe, I should talk to someone about these. What was the name of that druid? Dereth, yes... Oh well.
