I don't know why, but when I re-install Icewind Dale (after maybe 6 months) and copy my previouse save game directory and try to load a game, some error pops up. Next time I can't even run a game. It reports some assertion failed error. The same thing happens with Planescape: Torment. Why is this happening?

Did you have any mods installed the first time you played it?
Do you have the latest patch installed?
    What is your OS?
Did you have the same OS when you first played it?

Hi. I didn't have any mods installed, that's for sure, except for HoW. I think I had the latest patch, but anyway I have tried with and without the patch and it is the same. I had Windows 98 SE which I have now, but I have reinstalled it a couple of times since then. There is some information about Planescape in registry however. Should I change those? Anyway thanks for help.

The save games shouldn't be affected by your OS.

If you had HoW installed you better install it to make the savegames work again. That would be my guess. But that is all it is a guess.

I don't know why, but when I try to run it, it reports some error refering to F: drive, eventhough I have never had F: drive. Well since I am buying a new HD in a few weeks, I guess it will work under the new Windows on an empty HD. Thanks for help everyone.
