Screen Stuck (Spoiler for late on?)

[IMG] OK, in hell, and down to fear. Refuse cloak (I already have an item making a character immune), so send my main character to the left. Notice a Gauth (sp?) as the first enemy, so proceed to pass a cloak of spell reflection (or whatever it's called across), anyway, needless to say that fight suddenly becomes quite easy (I'm also on the easiest difficulty after getting a tad annoyed by Irenicus in the tree). Suddenly with two orbs to go (and I think something may have run off the bottom of the screen, all the meanus disappear, my character carries on fighting and kills the one he is currently in combat with, but I can't do anything. The keyboard still works, and I've been able to minimise this, the sound still goes on, and the animations of the two things on screen (myself and orb) still move. This has been fifteen minutes thus far at my reckoning, plus another 10 minimised. How can I select the character, or is it a case of Alt-F4 (I guess that'll still work and start it again - put down to a bug. If it isn't why doesn't this game just have a 'get on with it button', which it really does need anyway.

I've had this problem, and from what I can tell, your game was over because that Elder Orb Imprisoned you.

I got Imprisoned by that damned eye a few times before I realized what was going on and once or twice the game kinda hung up like what you described.

[IMG] I had the same experience earlier today. My character (soloing) was imprisoned or mazed after which the screen locked up in full screen (as when you have pressed H) mode. Before locking up my character moved a little bit. This makes me think a late command made on the keyboard or mouse may have messed with the normal game over movie sequence causing the lock up.

Only way out was to close BG2 and load the latest save.

Did that one in the end - found going right a little easier too. Anyway, I guess now would be a good time to post an end of game opinion thread. See if one is around first, I suspect there might be.
