That site there is dedicated to showing up games which are underrated, and, is in essence an abandonware website. The article I have just linked to discusses (OK, rants) about the quality of recent games in comparrison to their price, and what it takes to make them. Then it goes on to talk about the scratchware concept, making short, cheap, quality games with a small team and whatnot.
So what do you think of the scratchware concept? Will it work at all? And would you support it if it did become a reality?

I doubt it. Like you said; "--making short, cheap, quality games--" Sounds controversial to me. Isn't it the same everywhere: price equals quality and the time spend with the product. Still, I must agree that the game prices have become too high (at least here in Finland): 50-60 € of *one* game is too much. Something like 45 would be acceptable and 40 ideal...

Scratchware = cheap little games you must pay for.
Freeware = cheap little games you do not need to pay for.
