    This is my first Salvatore experience, and I wanted to know how his other books are in comparison to this one. Which Salvatore book would you recommend for me to read ?

    Why not start from the beginning with the Icewind dale Trilogy? Some would recommend the dark elf trilogy, as it is a prelude to Icewind, but Icewind was written first, so...

    Reading Starless night might not be the best book to start out with, as it is slap down in the middle of the series....
