Salvanus Hall of Fame Interview at NWVault

NWVault have interviewed Salvanus, the author of The Lands of Acheron Persistent World. Here's an excerpt:

3) Your Persistent World is called "The Lands of Acheron" and was recently inducted into our Hall of Fame. Could you give us an overview of what it's all about and the unique setting you have.
Here's a general background story Two siblings and their followers sailed away from the lands of Faerun to escape a world controlled by deities. They discovered a map of uncharted territory, supposedly free of the gods' control. During their voyage, a massive storm came upon them, causing a planar rift; they sailed through it and landed on the shores of the outer plane known as Acheron. Believing this was the fabled land, they set up a small colony that would become the large city known as Thanador. The land encompassing Thanador changed to reflect the general feeling of happiness that exuded from the city. the plane of Acheron itself tore itself apart from the area surrounding Thanador.This is how the name of the server came to be. Thanador prospered until years later, one of the siblings became overrun with jealousy. She took her loyal followers and fled in the night, to create a new city; Mhordiem. Wars ensued in the coming years over various reasons until both siblings passed away. Currently, the world takes place roughly a thousand years after the death of th siblings.
