    I have often wondered why the only time I get inspired to write poetry is when I am in some kind of emotional pain, and never when I'm happy. Any ways, here is a poem I recently wrote.

    How can you still love me, yet not feel my pain?
    If we are soul mates, why can't you see the blood?
    With blood from this broken heart, your hands must be stained.
    The essence of my soul pours out in a flood.

    The darkness saturates what I have become.
    An empty husk, carried about on the wind.
    Dreams I've had, now sadly, will never be done.
    Pain persists, vileness pervades this life I'm in.

    Love sings quiet songs, muted now, barely heard.
    Where once it rang so loudly, with brazen notes.
    The music was vibrant, harmony in words.
    Now sounds, discordant, guteral crush my hopes.

    Life seems now to be endured, barely survived.
    A dreary road, cluttered with meaningless events.
    Lasts there a glimmer, or spark to be revived?
    Is misery to be the way my life's spent?

    What happened between us that started this wall?
    This gulf that seperates our once kindred souls.
    I know not the source or fuel that makes it tall.
    I only feel pain, where once you made me whole.

    Day after day we plod on, an endless chore.
    Our hearts once joined, but sadly now drift apart.
    Living side by side, but unified no more.
    Can you truly not hear,these screams from my heart?

    I know that I vowed to never say goodbye,
    But you too vowed, to love me forever more.
    I can't believe that your promise was a lie.
    Is there any hope, can this love be restored.

    I feel as if I'm a stranger in my home.
    I feel alone, even when you're by my side.
    I feel love slipping through my desperate grasp.
    I feel life, and it is empty now for me
