Romance requirements

    I'm asking this, becouse my only succesful romance so far was Aerie.
    Other game I had only Viconia in my party, and couldn't start romance. I also have absolutely no idea what the requirements could be.
    Race, class, alignment, level, special moments in game, time spend together...?

    Jaheira: Male, human, elf, half-elf, halfling

    Viconia: Male, human, half-elf, halfling

    Anomen: Female, human, half-elf, elf, halfling

    (halflings are uncertain, but iirc they can romance)

    Race: All romance humans or half-elves, Jaheira and Aerie will romance elves as well, Viconia might (not sure on that) romance half-orcs, Jaheira will I think romance halflings, Aerie gnomes. Anomen romances female humans/half-elves/full elves.
    I know of no level requirement, and there seems to be no problem with alignment as long as you aren't mean to them.

    Viconia will romance a HalfOrc if you have the baldurdash fixpack.
    Jaheira's romance is the longest, with the finale being subject to a rediculously long real timer. This also is fixed by baldurdash.
    Anomen and Aerie's romances are the easiest since all you need to do is sympathise with them.

    I'm suprised Jaheira can romance Halflings. It is my understanding that Halflings don't mate with other races or at least can't have offspring.

    Nakia... so, er, how did you come with this knowledge...? IIRC, it is a fantasy world where humans sprout winged horses and elves mate with evil two-handed swords...

    [​IMG] While working on Mazzy I checked - all can romance halflings.

    I guess halflings were a popular player race so they included them in all romances. Viconia won't romance elves, being Drow and all.


    I've never heard of humans sprouting winged horses either :shake:

    Halflings are based on Hobbits. There are minor differences from one fantasy world to the next so I guess in Faerun romance is in. Does this send my mind spinning into fantasy land. Somebody write a mod where my little Nakia can romance someone worth while. Well, Kelsey is a possibility.

    Why not? The drow are supposed to be moraless people and if they can have an elf, prove that they are no better, then why not? My point was that humans COULD sprout winged horses and pigs for all we care if the authors told so. ;)

    I heard somewhere that Charisma also has to be above a certain number, but I can´t remember where and what the minimum requirements for Charisma were supposed to be. Anyone know anything about this?

    Charisma doesn't play a role in whether they will romance you and afaik it doesn't affect any dialogues either :rolling:

    Wirhe - Drow may be 'moraless' but Viconia has been on the surface a while now, and probably couldn't lower herself to sleep with a lowly elf - especially as she has a high opinion of herself in that area :p
