The apprentices that come with your stronghold can make you a ring of wizardy wich gives you one extra spell for level 6 7 and 8 and now i have heard you also get a ring of wizardy from doing one of jaheiras quests (the one where you kill the harpers) if so, are they the same if not, The specifics on what it does please!

I think they add the same amounts of spell slots 1 x 5,6,7 level, the only difference is the description

Another Ring of Wizardry vs. Ring of Wizardry then: Wich one was better, the one in BG1 or BG2. The one in BG1 doubled the number of lvl 1 spells. I really loved that one for the huge number of Magic Missiles and Idetifies you had...

now you can just use the neckless of metaspell influance or something like that, didn't you had that thing also in BG1?

But I prefer the one from BG2, because it is always usefull to have some extra high level spells

I most certainly think it is an advantage to have 1 extra at 5,6,7 Actually as the mage advances in the beginning it doubles his 5th then 6th then 7th levelspells. Unless he is a specialist mage. Still I get three spells now. In the old days it was 5 spells.
The only advantage is the one You mention. But I don't think it is as powerfull on advantage.

As to antoine: the necklace only grants an extra 2nd level spell. And Yes it was both in BG1 and BG2

    Im Am exhauseted.

The last 30 minutes I have tried to find the info on this. But PlanetBG has a broken link. Baldurs gate Haven hasn't finished their item page. All the links here only talk of cheat codes and. The BG-item list only mention the history of all items not where they are placed.

I REMEMBER ( I am not senile yet) THAT ONCE THIS SITE HAD AN ENCYCLOPEDIA-how do I spell that :p of Items. It just mentioned the items name and where it could be found. Short but efficient. Where in the 9 hells is that now  It was great!

The Encyclopaedia was only made for BG1. Anyway, Headbanger is correct about the location of the Metaspell Influence amulet.

Well after a few times I know the location of most items. When not I use Gamebanshee to search for it... excellent item database there.

About the ring of wizardry, I always have not enough Magic Missiles, and somehow I really love that spell :)

I really only see the use of MM when I face a very strong Spellcaster. But those I usually breach-pierce etc. And my archers (very fast speed) and fighter takes care of the rest. I do add a few MM. I dont use magic missile to a lot of othe purposes. I guess its just a bad/good habbit. With the new ring I can be more creative than with the old ring.

EDITED HERE: And thank You Headbanger. You saved me from 50 hours of work and having to bang my head into a wall for a wasted work. Bang my head... hehe :p
