The previous IWD had hidden reputation(I think).Does IWD 2 have too?Asking because I'm in the 2-nd chapter again and doubting myself to kill or not to kill the village. Are they evil actually?
And why does the paladin in 3rd Ed. not have detect evil :(

Actually, in D&D 3rd edition P&P paladins can detect evil at will, but I don't know why it is not included in IWD2.

The paladins *do* have detect evil; it comes out in the dialogue options when you're dealing with a secretly-evil NPC. Aurilites worship an evil goddess so you'd be justified in killing them, but if your paladin doesn't immediately attack them on speaking to them, then the characters themselves probably aren't so evil that a paladin would *have* to kill them to be true to her class. Basically what IWD2 has done is made it not something you need to think about ("oh, a new NPC, gotta detect evil to see how I should react to them"); if your paladin talks to a truly evil character, she'll remark on it or just attack them outright.
