Is it possible to remove the visual effects added by some items, for an example, the blur caused by the ring you imported from BG1(can't remember the name, without removing the items? I have Shadowkeeper, Infinity engine editor pro and Near Infinity.

I'm trying to think of a ring that causes a blur effect, but I'm drawing a blank.

But yeah, it is possible in most cases. Open up NI, hit ctrl+f, select items and enter the name of whatever item you're trying to modify. Open the file and switch from the view tab to the edit tab. Scroll to the bottom, that's where the global effects are; in the case of your ring there'd be an 'Effect' entry with 'Type: Blur' at the beginning, so you'd just highlight that and hit remove, then save the file and return to your game.

Well, it fits in the ring slot, but it's not exactly a ring. ;) I believe what you're talking about is the Claw of Kazgaroth, no? Well, if that's the case, Baronius has already done the work for you. The fix is simple enough to work on both BG1 and BG2; just stick it in both override folders and the blurring will be gone. :)

I used Near Infinity to remove the blur effect. I actually figured it out myself just after posting this thread, but thanks anyway.
