[IMG] First level rangers are supposed to get ambidexterity and two-weapon fighting for free at first level. I'm using the latest version of NWN, but my Ranger only gets two-weapon fighting for free. I've tried recreating my character a few times, but gotten the same glitch each time. Has anyone else run across this? Suggestions?

[IMG] IIRC they do get these feat for free at 1st level but if you're using heavier armor than light armor it won't work.

I've used nothing heavier than leather armour. In any case, I should HAVE the feat, even if I can't use it, shouldn't I?

[IMG] The ranger gets an ability called dual weild in his feats part of the character sheet. This is the rangers ambidexterity and two weapon fighting ability. It would have been done like this as if they put the actual feats in the game would have let the ranger wear any weight of armour and still retain the ability.

[IMG] I guess this falls under the category of "not reading carefully." My fault. Many thanks.

I for one distinctly dislike this special ranger ability. For one, I've never liked the 3E ranger to begin with, but that's beside the point. My main gripe of bio's implementation of this is the real feats are not offered to me, at least, not on character creation. I don't really see the point of this, unless it's simply this way so as to not confuse gamers who may not be familiar with the rules NWN is based on. Otherwise, I don't see why the ranger class is forbidden to "learn" to dual wield in heavier armors.
