Just got into listening to Rammstein and wondered if anyone else likes them? 'Sonne' is my favourite tune :)

I have heard Du hast only. I liked it. However with only having heard one song i can't really give an overall comment.

I've heard many of their songs. But I certainly like "Links 2 3 4" and "das Model" most... :D

IMHO a very average band. Some songs are okay, but the rest isn't very good.

[IMG] I'm not a big fan of metal or whatever music you -people call it, but I do like them... I've even got a poster of them on my wall. (Not official, it was ripped from a mag ;) )

Ich Will kinda got me into them.

    They are one badass band!

Er ... my favourite track would probably be 'Du Hast' ... then again 'Sonne' isn't bad as well ... or maybe 'Ich wiel' (correct me on my spelling if needs be)

'Mutter' is a good tune also :) And I do like Du Hast too

@ Tal - Do you have a link to that movie's website? I can't put it into a search engine for obvious reasons ;)

    Hehhe...
When I started to listen to them my dad had and outburst and deleted all my songs and told me that if I ever listened to those songs again I'd have to look for another dad and another place to live. He said it was nazi music...
My dad is my dad and I don't listen to them anylonger even though I think he is wrong.

    @Eilonwy
Just a question, does your dad think that Voltswagon and BMW are nazi products as well? Just because something comes from Germany doesnt mean that they are created by Neo -Nazi activists.

Sehnsucht was a rocking album, and a good song to boot. Herzeleid was worth the money to buy it. Mutter was decent, but was of a lesser quality as the previous 2.

As a point of interest, here is some of my fav. tracks, and what they mean (or at least close to what they mean).

    Sehnsucht - Longing
    Herzeleid - Hearts... Wrong?
    Tier - Animal
    Engel - Angel
Mein Herz Brennt - My Heart Burns
    Sonne - Sun.
Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen? - I want you in my bed, seeing flames... at least i think that is what it is.

I like them. Dont listen to them that often, but i have the Mutter CD. I like the way they kindof vergo on Industrial, while being metal.

@Shell - probably the easiest way to find links to the film is to go to the Internet Movie Database and do a search for Vin Diesel. That way you should avoid the millions of porn sites.

    @ Baelzebub:

    I can translate them.
You got most of them right, but
"Herzeleid" is an archaic german word for heartsickness and "Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen?" means "Do you want to see the bed burning?"

As for the "Naziband"-stereotype: They are playing with it for the sake of marketing. But its not true. They were a Punk Band in the GDR, so they come from the other side of the political spectrum.

I used to listen some german groups and a little bit Rammstein, but if you ask me, Blind Guardian beats it.
