I was wondering..... will NWN have the same character classes, rules and restrictions as BG2. For expample I roled up a half-orc cleric and as far as I can tell she has no restrictions on how many levels she can go up or spells she can learn. I thought AD&D rules put restrictions on characters according to race. I'm asking because I want to submit a character for the online game, and I thought the half-orc cleric was kind of cool.

[IMG] Both BG2 and NWN have/will have an experience cap. But it's so high you'll probably never reach it if you play through the game only once.
Same goes for NWN. You will be capped at level 20 there. When WoTC releases rules for characters over that level, additional mods will allow even such characters in the game.
Race restrictions have been dropped in 3d edition D&D. (What NWN will use).

    P.S.
Half-Orc Cleric? Novel to say the least. :p

[IMG] Those odd combos will spice things up a bit. And a half-orc cleric who has say - War and Strength as devotions would be a menace.

In a pen and paper game with my friends, my buddy made a halfling barbarian. His next choice was a half-orc BARD!

The ability to mix and match class levels will also be a huge fun factor. I'm going to make a rogue/ranger who is going to be brutal on sneak attacks. (that's what I'm playing in our current campaign)

Does anyone know if the prestige classes will be included or will it be something for a possible expansion? Secondly has anyone heard any details of the plot, all I heard is that Neverwinter is plagued by monsters and that some sought of evil cult is behind it.

Last I heard, prestige classes will not be in the official release, but they are saying it will be added in a patch or possible add-on.

I have no idea about the story but when the game comes out and I start playing it, I'll let you know ;)
