After mis-killing the paladins when you first arrived at windspear hills, did anyone tried to refuse the offer given by Garren Windspear? If so, what happened then? I tried doing that, and upon arriving back to copper coronet, i am attacked by a group of high level paladins, who are too tough for me yet. i am planning to level up to a high level before challenging them again, but wonder if any of the reader tried that route before? and if so, what's the consequences?

As near as I can tell, if you don't do the quest you will be continually assaulted by paladins in large uber-squads until you do the quest. The point of the quest is that a force to be reckoned with (The Order) believes you have wronged them and they seek vengeance. Basically you have no choice but to accept Windspear's offer and clear your name with the palys. Sorry friend, looks like you will be harried continually by these vengeful paladins and their close-minded justice.

Thanks for the swift reply. But i wonder if the paladins will keep re-spawning or there is a "limit" to their numbers? That is after you kill certain amounts of them, will they stop appearing, just like the cowled wizards? Anyone had the patients to tried that far?

Uberpowerful? You mean they really react to the player's levels? So even if my party of lvl 20 wizards and warriors was assaulted by these pallys, they'd be so powerful that I'd have no chance? Or is it just a matter of getting strong enough? For I might try this, on my next game.
