Would an Elf Specialist Wizard suffer an XP penalty?

For instance, if we have an Elven Fighter 4/ Wizard 10, I know there is no problem here (since Wizard is the Favored Class). But what happens with an Elf Fighter 4/Invoker 10? Is there an XP penalty for a non-favored class, or does "Wizard" cover the specialties as well?

Please LMK ASAP. My Elf is almost ready to start taking his Wizard levels!

No problems there Klorox. Elf Wizard favoured class include all specialists.
Did you also ask this on PlanetBaldur'sGate forums? ;)

I did, Shrikant (I'm not the most patient person with this kind of thing).

Boy, Gnomes get shafted here too! They're stuck with Illusionist, but an Elf can go any way he wants.

BTW, do you post over there? I've never seen your name before.

Naah. I was looking for info on BG 3 and wandered over to the forums to see if there were any rumors.
Then I see a page full of threads in the IWD II forum started by Klorox and I went "That's quite normal." :heh:

Gnomes have traditionally been stuck with the Illusionist class in D&D. Which is kinda sad since they are supposed to be ingeneous an scientific creatures, if a bit

Well I heard that in 3.5 P&P they favor being a bard, if it makes any sense. I always thought gnomes were the shy, low CHA people.

'Can I....help you?' Oh so cute!

And I had a SILVERSTAR of Selune 13/ Invoker 17 (he could write all scrolls thanks to cleric training) moon elf and it did not suffer XP penalties I am %100 sure about it so don't worry!
