Question About Early-in-Game NPC Mod

    Hi. I'm using the Mod that gives you the NPCs earlier in the game. With this Mod, Coran shows up on my first vist to the Friendly Arms Inn. Now, without the Mod, Coran leaves if you don't hunt wyrvens quickly enough. Does any one know if this will still happen with the Mod? What is the time limit (days I guess) that he's willing to wait in the regular game? Thanks. :confused:

    I'd assume that it's the same, and only the locations of the NPCs have been changed... but there should probably be notes either way in the mod's readme. Did you check?

    Yes, it will happen with the mod, and it actually has the opposite effect of its intent where Coran is concerned. The mod is meant to make it easier to get NPCs early, but in Coran's case (and Eldoth's), all it doesis make you much more likely to lose them. If you grab either of them too early, you won't even have a chance to do their quest before they leave. You'll have to wait until you're ready to head into the Cloakwood before you grab Coran, and even then you have less time because you get charged for the time between the FAI and Cloakwood 1. :rolleyes:

    This mod would be much better if revised to take these things into account. Perhaps put Eldoth in the Cloakwood prison to free up Yeslick, who has no quest. Put people closer to their quests, not farther away.

    Unfortunately, there's nothing in the Readme, and the download site is in French. Thanks for the insightes, Felinoid. You're right about the additional changes, they do make better sense.

    I guess I'll need to uninstall the Mod and reload a savegame prior to picking up Coran. Too bad...it seems like it took forever to cover all of Beregost. Hmm...maybe I'd be better off starting a new game all together.

    Felinoid, if you can put it together, send in a better version. Moving those NPCs closer to their quests makes way more sense.
