[IMG] Alrighty, I'm going to fight Kangaax today, and I'm wondering, where can I find scrolls of protection from Magic? I found two in the Adv. Mart, with the lady from the spell store.

I've looked everywhere in Athkatla, but I don't want to spend the in-game time traveling to Umar Hills and Trademeet if there aren't any there...

    Where can I find them???

    Heh, that's roleplaying for you...
"I'm going to fight Kangaxx today"
Do you (I mean as the party) know if you are going to fight him? If you do, or at least are not sure, why prepare with those scrolls? Kangaxx doesn't seem much different from the other two guardian liches, and you didn't need these specific scrolls to fight them, why would the party need them for Kangaxx?
That's thinking in metagaming terms, and if I were the DM, and my players started doing that, I would just change the (demi-)lich to something entirely different - like an all-resistant skeleton warrior - as powerful, but without any magical skills. Too bad the game doesn't recognise situations as such...

Anyway, as for the original question: I know about the Mart, but nothing else. Those two are enough, though (from my experience) - just give them to two most important people, and have others get the heck away from there. Kangaxx uses magic, but is otherwise very weak.

In my experiences through Baldur's Gate 2, those are the only two scrolls in SoA, I could never find any more.

However, you aren't completely out of luck, as protection from undead scrolls will keep you safe from Kangaxx, and are a bit easier to find. I think you can buy them from priests.

I think Prot. from Undead scrolls are pretty rare, actually, though I remember either Ribald, Galoomp or Lady Yuth sells at least one...

As said, there are only two - available from Ribald.

And toughluck - I've read Saber's post three times now, and nowhere can I see where he was asking for a lecture on roleplaying, nor does he even ask for opinions on whether or not his approach was roleplaying. Unsolicited sermons are often better left for the Alley.

(Edit: the irony of the last sentence just struck me. :D )

I took him out last week by sticking two magic users with Abjuration protection in Kangaxx's face (Throwing melfs minute misiles - they managed to get a couple of hits for 1hp damagea time) A greater fire elemental to his side (Caused by far the most damage with 4-6 per hit) and my Paladin with the +4 2-handed sword round the back. (3-4 hp damage per hit)
My normal method is to tell Minsc to throw his axe Azuredge if a Lich appears - they usually die before getting any protections up.

It's a pity Azuredge won't work on Kangaxx... actually it's better that way: imagine the look of surprise on an Undead Hunter's face who is getting used to chop undead monsters to pieces with it. Run away!!! LOL
