Protection from Arrows spell?

    The Protection from Arrows spell says that it protects you from Missiles (approximately a 10 damage reduction). But it appears to have no effect on crossbow bolts. Bug?

    I'm pretty sure its coz of the enchantment of the bolts. The spell offers DR starting at 10/+1 and the enchantment protection goes on increasing till +5. What kind of bolts were being used and what was the level of the caster? Check that.

    Wait, so the +1 bit of the 10/+1 refers to the enchantment of the arrows? I thought that it meant that the damage resistance increased as your caster level increased?

    No, it refers to enchantment level. Its 10/+1 till 4th lvl, 10/+2 from 5th level, 10/+3 from 10th level, 10/+4 from 15th level, and 10/+5 from 20th level. Damage resisted is fixed, enchantment resisted increases.
