How do you think, which are most useful protecion and damage spells?
How you use your priests, more casting protection or damaging spells?
I am using priests for offensive spells as much as possible. And I hate that Druids Call lightning is not usable indoors, because most part of IWD is indoors.

But druids Static Field can be used in doors and is very powerful. Produce fire is always good.

Best low-level strategy I use:Cast Protection from Fire on fighters, send them in to the fray where all monsters attack them and blast away with Fireballs, Produce Fires, Flame Strikes. The monsters will die FAST while fighters are well protected. Use it against SWARMS of COLD wights in Dragons Eye. :shake: Very impressive resluts. Fast XP gaining. Lots of fun!

My priest were mostly used for protection and summoning spells.
They hardly used any offensive spell since both had warrior levels which allowed them to do much damage when fighting and summoning spells just helped more.
The cleric damage spells aren't that great anyway.

The most useful protection spell is protection from evil 10'.
Protection from fire or free action is also great in some situations.

The indoor verion of call lightning is the level 4 spell static charge.
I didn't use it in my party game but when you read the spell description you can imagine how much damage it did when my HoF solo level30 fighter/druid walked around after casting it 10 times in a row.

I lured cold wights in entangle and after that fireballed them. But I will try your tactic. Sounds nice.

Free action is great, but for that I have rings from Kuldahar, given to F/T and Cleric most of the time.

I agree that Cleric spells are designed for buffing mostly.

Rings of Free Action are made for Clerics (who can dispel other held characters with many different spells).

It's just like why I have a Paladin memorize "Resist Fear." Paladin's can't be feared, so you always have a way out of it!

Good point, but no pally will go with my party of cutthroats. My F/T will stab him in back and take his goodies anyway.
