    This may seem like a really stupid question to some of you but i want to cast the find familiar spell but it keeps telling me only a protagonist can cast this spell. what exactly is this?? is this the player charicter? Is it even worth casting this spell?? am i spelling protagonist correct?? ahh so many questions. well i guess that is all for now.

    Yes, the protagonist is your character, not the NPCs that can join with you. So, only your character can use Find Familiar.

    Familiars are cool to have! It gives you good bonuses and all you have to do is keep it in your backpack out of harms way.
