[IMG] I just upgraded to Windows ME and BGII runs slow as hell to the point of being unplayable. I did a full install and have 256 MB of ram and I run a GeForce2 video card. I know the box reads it's only compatiable with W95 or W98. Does anybody know of a workaround? or will I have to go back to W98?

    thanks

[IMG] Running BG2 on windows ME, 256mb ram, GeForce 32mb card and 733MHz PIII. No problem at all on my end. Things to check: check the swap file size the game is using under the options (my is set to 500mb), also if you think its display related check your video drivers (I'm using the reference detonator 3 drivers from nvidia and they claim 30-50% speed increase over all older drivers. Heard mixed results from various people as far as performance goes but So far I have no problems with any game on my end and in my case that os actually seems faster than win98. Last thing to check are your sound drivers if they are up to date. I was told that they can slow down your system but not sure about that.
