    Every time someone in the party gets Imprisoned, Freedom brings them back... but they come back as an NPC who won't even talk to you. There does not appear to be any way to get them to join the party again.

    What's wrong here, and how can I fix it? (I had the same problem in Shadows of Amn, by the way.)

    Didnt know that happened with regular npcs. Was playing a game with a few player created characters and the same thing happened.

    I recommend a reload, if not try charm them or something.

    Get ease of use, its MP created characters component fix the problem for MP created guys:they no longer dissapear forever after being kicked out of the party. Same applies for freedom bug. Easy way is, CTRL+Qing them when cheats are active. CTRL+Q adds the target to your party, BUT I think it may cause Bioware NPCs to forget their personalities:no romance, no interjections, nothing. Use it safely on your MP created buddies.

    I have never encountered this bug with Biwoare NPCs though. Do you have the official patch?

    Dont ever think I had that prob. But there should only be the time with the demi-lich you can get imprisoned. That's all IIRC. Just usa a cheese way to kill him and you'll never need to use freedom.

    Yes, Imprisonment is easy to avoid when you know it is coming. Spell Immunity:abjuration, spell trap, pro from Magic scroll, and in case of Demi-liches, pro from Undead works wonders.

    Silverstar: Yes, I have the official patch. And it's not just player-created characters, I had the same thing happen to Jaheira. It's not just the demiliches, either - Hive Mothers can imprison you. (It came as rather a surprise when it happened, as I'd never known them to try it before.)

    What do you mean by "ease of use"? Is that the name of a mod?

    P.S. If Ctrl-Q does make Jaheira *shut up*, I'd consider that a feature, not a bug. :) She's nearly as bad as Imoen. I don't know why, but the female NPC's all grate on my nerves.

    Yes, found here about halfway down the page.

    CTRL+Q adds blue circled NPCs under the mouse cursor to your party. It does not make them shut up. Try Silence 15' radius instead. ;)

    When I CTRL+Q a NPC, and then ditch them from party, they do not talk their usual and unique 'farewell, but are you sure?' dialogue, instead, they use EoU's 'it has been a joy adventuring with you. where should I wait etc.' fixed lines. So I think their dialogues are overriden by EoU when you cheat as they are not officialy joined. I am not sure though.

    @The_Shadow

    Yes, EoU is a mod, which enhances game play by fixing some annoying facts, every BG2 player should get it IMHO. Find it via the link which Kuemper so kindly gave above.
