This will take a while to explain, so bear with me a bit.

I downloaded the Unfinished Business quest pack, and got to Chapter 6 in the game, when Chief Inspector Brega asked me to help him take down the Shadow Thieves. I figured I'd take down Bodhi first, so I tell him to postpone the attack. So a few days (10-20) later, I kill Bodhi and do a couple quick errands before running back to Brega. Except, he won't let me start the attack. I only get the "Who are you?" and "Goodbye" responses to choose from. I've tried re-installing UB, but the installer keeps telling me that it's "unable to find DIALOG.TLK". Any ideas? I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to re-install the game itself to try and re-create DIALOG.TLK, but I really don't want to have to do that.

And don't bother telling me to use CLUAConsole: it won't work. Yes, I'm opening the right file (baldur.ini). Yes, I've tried both Cheats=1 and Debug Mode=1 under the correct headings. No dice. Really: don't bother suggesting it.

I don't know what mod you installed in there, but it is not Unfinished Business.
Oh and btw, you can't reinstall a mod as long as your game is running. That's what the error with dialog.tlk usually means. Or the fact that UB exe file is not in the same folder with dialog.tlk.

I think we figured out that its part of the mod 'Quest Pack' in the Killing Linvael thread the other day.

The file "dialogue.tlk" is found in your game directory (ie 'C:/Program Files/Baldurs Gate II' - the same place as baldur.ini). Note that this is a very important file and you wouldn't be able to see any in game text without it, so I'd suggest that the inability of the installer to locate the file would probably be a result of trying to install it into the wrong directory. If the file is not there then you can reinstall the game or download a fresh one here (8mb) (both options will require a re-installation of all mods)

If the reinstall of Quest Pack doesn't quite get things going then it is likely that Console commands may be required. I'd recommend having another shot at getting it all working - just for reference the 1st few lines of my 'baldur.ini' file appear as
Then in game hold CTRL and press SPACE, a clear text field should appear on the bottom centre of screen. All commands are preceded by 'CLUAConsole:' and all codes should be wrapped in quotes (""). eg to spawn a scroll of identify the in game command would be
