Problem with Mini-Quest

1.I was in the Waukeen's promanede. and someone talked to me, and I said yes,so I got the Quest:Meeting With Valen's Mistress.
so I went to the graveyard, TWICE,and she wasn't there???(I searched Whole map)
Is this a bug,or Am I too stupid to find her? If it's not a bug, then tell me where it is.
2.Can you tell me best way to kill Mind Flayers(Personally)

 

1) You would have go there during the night, and if you delay, the quest is lost. Also, install the latest official patch, the problem could be that you haven't noticed Valen's Mistress, and she wouldn't talk because of "X appears busy" bug.

2) Chaotic Commands + Potions of Mind Focusing on 3-4 warrior types of 13+ level work for me. Two mages with Melf's Minute Meteors for backup.

 

I must have delayed(about 25 days)

 

@Chickavalier: Are you in chapter 3?

 

Not counting delays, the quest is also lost if you accepted Gaelan's second offer. When Valen tells you to meet her mistress at the graveyard, a boy's also supposed to tell you to meet Gaelan once again.

If you aren't evil and don't hate shadow thieves, there is no reason to meet her(Because she is Bodhi)

2)Chaotic commands+something to decrease your AC.And some summoning would be helpful

 

Perhaps you tried to go to graveyard in Waukeen's Promenade?

 

I think there is some time limit on meeting Valen's mistress. It seems that you have to be quick to activate the quest too, not just getting to the graveyard quick. ie: If you took too long to go to the graveyard, it's over. If you took too long to raise the money, Valen still shows up, but the offer was long over.

In my last few runs, I was careful not to trigger Valen's appearance and did many side quests. When I was ready, I triggered Valen but never found her mistress. So this is how I believe the quest works.

So in short, I think you need to activate and complete Valen's quest relatively quickly (not 15+ days maybe) for it to work properly.

 

Weird, i always have spent 40+ days in chapter 2, and still can get the quest.Thieves can't get it.

 

For killing Mind Flayers: Haste a couple of Mordy's Swords, cast Chaotic Commands and Invisibility on one character to follow them around and direct them.

 

It doesn't matter you spent whole lot of time after meeting Valen.

Like Goli Ironhead said if your PC is Thief than you can't cooperate with Bodhi, period.

Also if you don't have enough money than Bodhi will go back to her lair and wait for PC to gather enough money.

For Mind Flayer, you could use Invisible Stalker, alternative to Mordy.

 

1)Are you sure you go graveyard at night? Bodhi will not come out in daylight (guess why?)
People are right, if you delay too long the 'door will be closed' as Valen says.
Anyway, why bother with Bodhi? Are you SO evil?

2)CLOUDKİLL! Have a mageling with staff of the magi cast cloudkill via WAND to a room full with Mindflayers, Ulitharids AND Umber Hulks, then QUİCKLY hit your staff to become invisible! (Failure too heed THİS instruction may result in a most pathetic death) Repeat this a few times, and soon they will fall. (Be sure rest of the party is FAR AWAY) What's more, cloudkill will instantly kill Umber Hulks too(provided thet they fail their saving throws versus poison, which they will most likely fail.)
