[IMG] I have followed the directions to open the door into this area posted in the Walkthrough & Guide section. I turn the mirror West, fire the lightning bolt North, and the door remains locked. Any suggestions?

Do you see the lightning bolt strike the door? Perhaps there is something/someone in the way?

Here is the answer displayed in detail

To enter you will not be able to do so from the hallway. You're going to have to be teleported and doing that requires you return to the first level to A Painting of Kuldahar and speak with the painting. Out of the list of choices, you are to select "Lysan." which will then cause the stairs, when used, to take you to this very room.
Now is the tricky part. You cannot enter The Altar until a lightning bolt from the Lightning Prism has slammed into it, which means you're going to have to make a few adjustments. The first is to open the secret door from the inside of this room and return to the Lighting Prism Chamber. Activate the prism so it is pointing NORTH. Your next step is to walk through the north door and out into the hallway where a mirror can be found and should currenly be pointing east, unless you've already switched it. Regardless, you should make sure it is facing WEST instead of east. This will cause the lightning bolt to shoot northward, hit the mirror and travel west down the passage, hit the mirror at the end of the passage and bounce south to the mirror right by the now opened secret door to the Altar Waiting Room. The bolt will bounce into the room and slam into the door leading to The Altar.
