Prestige classes and multiclassing

    I am wondering if the XP penalty applies to prestige classes as well as base classes for characters? Lets say I have a 6th level fighter and 6th level rogue that wanted to get the prestige class Divine Champion. Would he get the 20% penalty as a 6 rogue/6 fighter/1 divine champion?

    You would have a 40% xp penalty for a rouge 6 / fighter 6 / divine champ 1.

    no you wouldn't. Divine Champion is a Prestige Class, and thus no xp penalty.

    Even if it were say ... Cleric ... it would only be a 20% XP penalty, the other two are within a level, and thats to say that your favored class isnt Rogue or Fighter.
