    Hi before I go too far in the game I would like to know if I have screwed up Iomen has my portal key for to get from the first to second level of the dungeon where you start. she cant trade or drop the key so I guess it must be important now she has been captured. Do I need the key after I leave the jail. If I do I guess I must start over and it is better to do it now then much later in the game.

    The Portal Key is used while you're inside the dungeon and nothing more. In fact, it was on my main character when I left the dungeon and after Imoen was captured, the key had vanished from my inventory. You will not need it nor will you be returning to those dungeons that you were captured in. So take a sigh of relief, save your games often and continue on your journey.
