    I chose Cromwell over Cespenar for the sole reason that he makes you the Crom Fayer; Cespenar doesn't. Nothing can match up to the sheer tanking power of the all-mighty hammer. Every thing else the imp makes seem like toys compared to it.

    It is all about the Crom and all of the dragon scale that the dwarf can make. Cespenar's stuff is cool, but there is little else he can do - It would have been nice if he could have made some cool armour out of something as well as all of the nifty swords.

    Yeah, yeah, heap big hammer. In the role-playing world, my paladin, ranger, bard, thief (pick any class except maybe cleric, dwarf fighter or barbarian) would not even think of using a bloody hammer. Now, a tasty strength enhancing long sword, or a nice scimitar with cool properties, or a short sword for my thief/mage, well, now we're talking weaponry. By the way, nothing is better than that Bladesinger mail for an evil fighter/mage who did not feel like being a nice guy in hell to get the immunity to normal weapons. And the fun toys the imp makes for your spell casters are not to be ignored. Cespenar is just more versatile because he has more "recipies" (that and adding the treaure trove (er, dungeon) that is Watcher's Keep which has tons of goodies the dwarf just cannot play with).

    whats the deal? just because crom makes crom fayer doesnt mean that he is better. The items in ToB are far superior to those in SoA. The things that Cespenar makes can be better than Crom, and vice versa. I just like cespenar as an NPC. Nothing else.

    Admittedly Cespenar makes the most powerful weapons, but I found him so annoying to talk to. His jokes (if you can call them that) got on my nerves after the first couple of times.
    IMHO Cromwell made more interesting and diverse weapons and armor. Compared to Cespenar who made the cool weapons better in most respects.

    Cespanar can make armor. He makes armor out of Ice Dragon and Blue Dragon scales. Can't remember if they are plate mail or scale mail; nonetheless, he does make armor.

    Crom Fayer is fine, I guess, but I'll wager my archer & druid will be able to take down giants a lot faster and without taking any physical damage.

    You guys need to learn to spell. You keep saying that Cromwell is the best because of what he can do. You keep saying that the Crom Fayer is the best. The "Crom Fayer" does not exsist. I have never really gotten it on my own, but at least I know how to spell it. Crom Faeyr.
