I'll only make two comments in my post,

Jaheira, definitely Neutral Good. When she starts saying, "I hope this is not a sign of things to come ...", it's more than a little ironic that you got to that point by doing things she approved of, and encouraged you to do.

Nalia. As far as I'm concerned, Nalia can be likened to a self-righteous, pompous, hypocritical politician who's more concerned with putting on the appearance of compassion than anything else. I had her at Lawful Neutral.

korgan is not chaotic evil IMO, regarding to some comments he made on the slavers and he said he does NOT kill all entities, children for example.
    i'd say neutral evil.

    Ok. Now some questions.

    1. Who have been funny and gave Jahiera chaotic evil? This is a serious poll, not a big joke.

    2. Who gave Nalia neutral evil? Once again, don't mix with the results.

    3. Korgan - Lawful good? C'mon people.

    4. Sarevok chaotic good or lawful neutral? Please.

    5. Yoshimo evil?

I have always thought that Jaheira leaned a bit more to the side of good, so I went with Neutral Good.

@Beren - while Nalia may be all you described, I still can't see where she would fall into the neutral category. She's good to a fault -- too good at that. I think Chaotic suits her better.

Anomen is definitely Chaotic Neutral. He is so messed up in the head, what with his family issues as well as his own internal struggles with good and evil, it's a small wonder he isn't seeking psychiatric counseling.

Jan is not neutral evil. Who is screwing around with the poll?

    Keldorn lawful evil? C'mon!

Jaheira is definitely neutral good, but I also think its funny that she complains about that.

    Korgan is neutral evil.

Just a note about the "neutral evil" alignment.

From past experiences, it is one people have the most problems with.
That alignment actually covers two very different outlooks: 1) the sadistic character who breathes evil 24/24, 7/7 2) the self-centered character.

Most people often forget about the second aspect. A neutral evil character may perform good deeds. His only motive is self-interest.
If feeding orphans benefits him, he'll do it (say for propaganda purposes for instance).

Just don't forget that alignments actually cover broad categories, and that very different behaviours can fall under the same alignment.

Conversely, the same behaviour may be viewed by people as falling under different alignments.
    Take Keldorn for instance.
His readiness to set his family aside if you don't free him from his oath marks him as more Lawful Neutral than Lawful Good to me. But I fully accept the fact that to other people it is the hallmark of a true Lawful Good character, who's ready to sacrifice his closed ones for the "greater good".

Keldorn lies, so he can't be lawful.

Sarevok and Korgan are not so insanely evil to qualify for CE, so NE.

Minsc is plain dumb and questions nothing of what you do, so LN.

I have a problem with both Jan and Haer-Dalis' being Chaotic Neutral. While I certainly will agree that they have a chaotic side to their nature, it seems that they tend to be more of a "good" type of character. Saying chaotic neutral means that they would side with evil at times, and neither strike me as that kind of character. I put them both as chaotic good.

Keldorn is Lawful neutral, as I stated in my comment about how paladins are a nearly impossible class to role-play correctly.

Jaheira is Neutral good. As Beren pointed out, she complains even when the good acts that you have done have been because of her directions.

Nalia cannot be anything but good. She always tries to do the right thing, but whether or not she accomplishes it is another story. You can argue on the Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic side, but the second part has to be good.

Jaheira is NG leaning, even admits this afew times herself. However, she still might be neutral with some dose of goodwill. Other ones are pretty correct.

No. He lies for the sake of his mission. It's no less lawful than getting killed and failing at his mission because of the desire for spotless reputation. Note that his response is somehow enigmatic. He doesnt say: 'I'm not Keldorn Firecam' explicitly. It will surprise you, but paladins have a special spell under the name of conceal alignment or, depending per edition, undetectable alignment. Some paladins work as envoys, diplomats and intelligence agents (aka spies) and there's no way they tell whole truth and only truth all the time.

Korgan yes, Sarevok no. While Korgan qualifies for CE in my opinion (not insanely evil, but both evil and chaotic), he could be NE as well. Sarevok is insanely evil. BTW, insanely evil can be Lawful with a good probability. You know, they all live by their plans, have developed fixed routines, have fixed views, are predictable...

Actually he's not so. He has suffered some temporary brain damage and is brought to mild retardation level. He is sick and thus chaotic, but that he follows you is a matter of commitment. He probably realises he's been hit on the head and has no aspirations to wisdom or leadership. He, however, still has his own opinion on things and believes in justice, smiting evil, helping people out etc. More of CG than LN. LN's are surprisingly similar to CG's, but they're more about how things are due to be than how things should best be.
