Which status change do you hate the most, and which do you just love to use on enemies?

Assume you're not going solo, where charm/domination is fatal.

I hate paralyzation the most. In the old Forgotten Realms games, it used to be one-hit-die once you are held... so I suppose things have gotten nicer. But I still don't like the 100% chance of hitting thing. Especially early on when a dumb hobgoblin shaman casts hold and the rest of supposedly easy creatures pick away at your HP.

My favorite to use on baddies is slow. It saves a lot of damage that your front line guys would otherwise receive. Confusion is also very funny, and poison is just deadly... they would be my next two choices.

IIRC Entangle immobilizes you, but it doesn't have that 100% chance of hitting thingy that the paralyzing effects have, which is why I put it in a separate category.

    Domination!
as the only way to get rid of it is dispell magic.
really nasty if you have none of them memorised.
What I dont get is that when you killed the Bastard who cast the spell you still suffer the effect.
How is a dead guy meant to stay in the mind of a living one????  ????
Natures Beuaty is great as it blinds all enymies without a save.

I usually dont have too much of aproblem with this, but...

In my sisters game, Anomen (the only charactor in her party who could cast lesser restoration) was level drained and he lost the spell levels to cast lesser restoration all together.
On to of that it was in Firkrags dungeon and no recent save games.

Left level drain off because I was thinking about spells more than innate creature abilities when I created the poll. (For example, when I wrote "gradual damage stuff" I had Melf's Acid Arrows in mind.) I was worried that if I included level drain, I would also need to include the mind flayers' intelligence drain, and both options would skew the results away from what I'm really interested in.

Paralyzation/hold is the worst by far. In general, enemies no longer attack you once you get dominated, but if you are held, they attack and hit you every time. For the level/stat drainers that means you are gonna get killed.
