I know what Id like my frontline melee charecter should look like. But Im still a bit hesitant about what race she should be. She will be a:
    CN _ Barbarian[20]/Battlegaurd of Tempus[8]/Fighter[2]
Id like to know what race you guys think she should be. The options I have weighed till now are:

    HalfOrc _ 20-14-18-4-14-4
The kneejerk first choice. Max possible +2 strength is attractive, but will make less difference later on.

    Human _ 18-14-18-6-14-6
The extra skill point means that this one can take Wilderness Lore and Concentration along with Intimidate and SpellCraft . Should come in useful.

    Drow _ 18-14-16-8-14-10
11+Level spell resistance and better prices at shops. That v/s Skill points. Cant decide.

tripleclass i'd say human. but why have 6 int, is this char going to do the speech?
and why fighter 2 and noth fighter 4? because of barbarian 20 and sum of lvl 30? i'd skip priest lvls then.

For me, the choice for a tank would be between Shield Dwarf and Half-orc. I find the extra strength to be more attractive than the extra constitution though, which is why I'd go with Half-orc. But I'd follow Bloddtitan's advice: drop the cleric levels and make him a Fighter(4)/Barbarian(x). If you really want to take cleric levels, then you're better off dropping the Barbarian levels.

I asked about races, not classes.

The 2 Fighter levels are only taken for the feats and will be taken at L29 & L30.
Im not taken in by Weapon Specialisation. You end up trying to stick to a single type of weapon without thinking about other weapons which might be more useful.
At Barbarian[20] you get Tireless Rage. Any less would be a waste.
The abilty to cast L4 spells is required to take elmental feats. Towards the end of the game she will be able to shrug off 9 points of any stray elemental damage that comes her way.

    Now, which race seems better?

Actually he will receive XP penalty, because Barbarian will count as favored class, but the fighter and cleric levels are still very far away from each other.

As I said, I'd take a Half-orc. You don't really need the extra feat or skill points (it is a tank you're building after all), and the extra STR comes in handy, in terms of the extra damage in particular.

Penality wont be felst much anyway, since it's the last two levels when it comes into play.

As for race, you dont really need either, 1 point in either strenght or con doesnt matter that much. It's better if you just imagine what your character looks like. First as a Human, then half orc and even drow. Then you decide which you like better :)
