No one seems to like NWN or it's expansion very much at all. I just wanted to see what you people think of the expansion. I usually own an RPG as soon as it is litterally possible but I haven't even bought Shadows of Undertide yet. It seems really dissapointing to me. :( (gave it a 4)

I'm giving it a 6. It's really not that bad, you have nice prestige classes, and cool items. And one big point for SoU is, that it's much shorter than NWN, so you won't get bored in the middle of the game.

I gave it a five. O.K. game but there are better ways to spend your money pretty well sums it up for me. The prestige classes are kind of neat for a couple of days, and the story is alright while it lasts, but I found that within a week I had played it as much as I could stand and went back to Baldur's Gate.

I'm afraid this poll is a little pointless... A poll to rate SoU will be on the front page next week.

[IMG] Having waited almost a year to buy NWN-OC, I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as it turned out that I did. It was fun to play, and I liked the interface on it (had hated BG's interface). With the fresh experience of a good value from the OC, I bought SoU as soon as it came to town.

Although enjoyable, it was too limited in too many ways compared to the original, most especially in the choices of henchmen, if you needed them, and the terrible lack of control over what a henchman might do at any time. What was needed, a strong fighter type of tank, simply wasn't offered.

The same kind of teddy bear malady that struck the Star Wars saga produced a too-cute non-henchman of limited usefulness. I would edit out every scene with Jar-Jar in it if the fourth Star Wars movie was under my control, and was never tempted to try Deekin out anywhere.

    ! !

Sorry Tal, I had no idea there would be such a poll on the front page. Oh well, we'll compare the two.

I loved SOU, in my opinion it is very RPGish.
For example if you're a Ranger you can find tracks and talk to animals :)

I hope Hordes of the Underdark will be as good as SOU :)

By the way I'm giving it an 8 :D

I go on the same line like jesper898. The SOU-OC is a huge, huge improvement to the original OC and is quiet funny to play, with a lot of role-play elements in it.

I'd give it a 5, about the same rating as the original game. It was slightly better than the original but too short and there was still a high tedium factor.

Part of me wishes they'd just retire this line of games and get back to writing BG3...

I feel your pain D-shadow, I'm thinking and hoping however, that Temple of Elemental evil will be a much welcomed brake from the NWN series.

Oh, by the way, I gave SoUT a 4 in comparison with Baldur's Gate, but compared with all other games, I think I'd give it a 6.
