yep. annoying. but i fixed it up the 2nd time around by putting khalid at the top of the "party list" hehe.

IIRC its in the Lighthouse area on the west coast.. damn, this post made me recall old days and now I feel a strong urge to play it again!

 

I died too. But this time Xan spoke to her. It's interesting that he got 1 kill for that (when you look at character information). And even more interesting is that the monser description remains empty if he didn't kill anybody else.

I also noticed that if you don't let her ressurect your party member you get 5000exp for killing her instead of 500exp (which you get the other way). The monster description stays both times the same "Thoughest monster killed - Shoal the Nereid". I had "Revenant" before.

 

if you dont let her ressurect your party member, do you still get to fight the ogre mage? btw, 5000xp? wow... should have left khalid dead, thats xp worth 2 long quests.

 

I thought my guy could get his legover. Dang was I wrong. heh

 

Try that when your soloing. I had to specially recruit safana for about 10 minutes so she could be kissed. Evil am I not

 

yep, and apparently my female PC was just as enamoured with her as any man.

 

It was just habit that had my PC at the top of the party formation and that got me killed. But then where else would a tank of a fighter be?
Funnily enough I always remember to move some other character up there now. The memory of having to reload from an autosave and do the area all over again kinda helps remember

really, she'll kiss you even if you're a girl? I vaguely remember sending jaheira to intercept her and speak to her (though not at the top of the party list) and shoal just brushed her off.

 

I didn't think to up my other party members for at least 3 reloads. That sucked.

 

After I died once, I reloaded and shot her before she spoke to me, got a nice new shiny Level for that!

 

I didn't have my female half-elven wizard lead, I think that Anomens cousin (shortly above the FAI) was in charge as he was a pally

you mean ajantis? the paladin found in the "ankheg area"? how did he work out? i've never used him...

 

Was I the only one who just walked up and slotted her?

 

I died too on the first time, but the second time i sended Imoen too her, interesting, i never knew a nymph would kiss someone of the same gender.
But then i didn't kill Shoal, but injured her far enough to talk to her, and kill her master.
