Y'know, when ya think about it, there's a probably a lot of violence these days on computers, even in RPGs, where chances are you have killed someone... or so it might be.

I'm pretty much seeing if you, in any CRPG discussed here on the Boards - IWD, IWDII, BG, BG2, PS:T, etc. have not killed anyone in the game world recently.

For these purposes, hacking golems to bits and chopping skeletons to pieces count as killing, even though they're not actually alive to begin with.

Thanks for voting. I killed a bunch of undead, beholders, yuan-ti, adventurers, some mephits, skeletons, Mekrath, and vampiric mists last night, all in around 5 hours (real time), and maybe 4 hours (game time).

A decent bloodshed it was, the last time I played - Friday IIRC. I don't even count the victims, I always run massive destruction goody goody parties and there's evil aplenty to smite.

It probably doesn't count, but my brother was bored to death and he cut the fully buffed Annoyman into pieces with my character in below twenty seconds (probably fifteen IIRC).

The only reason why I haven't killed anything today is because I log into SP in the morning before I get a chance to play! :D

Question 4 is very interesting. Thinking back to all the CRPGs I've played, I think Death Knights of Krynn or Secret of the Silver Blades probably allowed for the least bloodshed. A lot of their random encounters give you the option to flee, talk, bribe or attack. Talking and bribing, if successful, results in peace, and the party is rewarded with experience. So in this sense, a peaceful solution is promoted - I usually try one of these options first.

In other (old) CRPGs, the random encounters tend to result in immediate combat. You only get a chance to resolve things peacefully in scripted encounters.
