I think that it is possible, but only by exploiting an elaborate flaw in the startup process. But someone else will know better than me.

You can transfer over the gold pantaloons.

Apart from that you can do the old pause on the initial black screen and drop all of your items trick but that is really cheesy.

You can sometimes legitimately find stuff that you imported with in the dungeon, but it will replace an item you would otherwise have gotten. In my last run through, my Paladin found the Horn of Kazgaroth instead of Balduran's Helm in the dungeon. In the Dan Simpson walkthrough, it lists the potential "other" items you can find if you import a BG1 character.

Of course, the Pantaloons will be there as well, if you had them on you. If you want to cheat, just do as JSBB says and you can keep anything you want... I wouldn't recommend it, though, since it's cheesier than a Bega factory.

As JSBB said, you can find the golden pantaloons. Also the helm of balduran, though that might be found regardless.

I always find Baldurans helmet. Great thing which I usually use throughout the entire game. The golden pantaloons are found if you kept them throughout BG1, but I haven't found other items as of yet, which is a shame as I would have liked to see more of these back.
