How many times have you played BGII+ToB?
What are the main reasons to play an rpg (such as this) so many times?

    The Item and Spell Bag
It is downloadable many weeks ago, but I have not mentioned it here yet:
If you want an unofficial non-overpowered spell and item pack with 4 spells and an item, visit:
    http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_editors2.php
(If you want to get that item (Volcano Blade), you should get a lot of gold beforeleaving Saradush: it is purchasable in Saradush)

Because I have nothing better to do? Seriously though for me it's to try out various party combinations, classes and races, different spell combos, tactics, etc. As of late, I've been doing quests and such that I would normally pass on (planar sphere, Mae'var, Keldorn, etc) to see the various outcomes.

Ok, so I need a life.

It is an escape from reality, or maybe not, I just like fantasy and roleplay things :)

Maybe to the point of confsuion, but nevermind ;)

I liked to play it n+1 times to get to know the parts I didn't the first time. I was also intrigued by the idea of playing the stronghold of a different class, but another thing that drew me to play BG2:TOB 4-6 times was my desire to make a really powerful character.

Good vs Evil party. Different strongholds. Different sets of NPCs. Different class/abilities for the main character. Visiting the bits I missed in a previous game. Challenging myself to do it in record time/etc. The challenge of a solo-run.

Lots of reasons for coming back to the game. Oh, and a general lack of 2D style games, based on D&D rules. Yes, I'm a fan of D&D rules and in particular the Inifity Engine. If only there were more games like this...

The first time I went through, I knew about nothing about DnD. I missed a lot of quests, and my character was a pure mage.

The next few times, I played multiplayer (for the 6 members), and tried to create parties around a specific theme (LotR etc.)

After that, I just played with my character from BG1 and TotSC, and did nearly all the quests.

I plan on going through the whole Saga again this summer; right now, I'm in Nashkel mines :p

[IMG] @DarthMuffin I have already done that before this summer... you will enjoy it (nostalgy is good)!

I made a mistake when I made this poll:
those great numbers (13-15,16-20,21-40) should not have been made (I should have been made lower limit), because: if somebody played BGII so many times, he/she will not remember the exact number... Sorry...

How about some new saga, about... the son of Tempus?! Yeah Tempus is the god of War and he made a mortal progeny and now you have to make your way in FR, so that you can survive among the other brothers and sisters, 'coz they are all evil... :)

It's a game I cherish enough that I have to play at least once a year. That's just how it goes. I haven't played BG2/ToB since last fall/winter, but that's about to change. I'm in the mood for another dose and I think I'll add on the Nalia romance mod to spice things up a little.
