Other than video games in general(PC and console), my only other serious addiction is soft drinks. That caffine really gets you hooked.

(Off topic: Could somebody tell whether the grammar in my sentence is right. I couldn't decide whether to use "is", "are", or change the sentence completely. Thanks.)

@Gaignun Kukai: Your grammar is fine. The verb applies to the noun "addiction," which is singular, so "is" is correct.

A word from me just after I checked the results so far: seems that 50% voters have more than five addictions. This might mean we the people of SP are a bunch of sorry addicts, but well... here I mean serious addictions, not something you just like very much or prefer over other possibilities. Addiction only counts as such if your organism can't function without the object of addiction and if it's not innately necessary for a normal human to survive. For the purpose of this poll only admit addictions that are likely to be clinical in your case. Hint: imagine Sorvo without beer or me without internet connection. If you feel you would behave the same way if you were deprived of your own thing then it's called addiction :)

[IMG] I suppose in my case you could probably remove chocolate and watching people, though I find it hard to go without it sometimes.

The other things wouldn't bear living without! To suggest it would be cruel - my mother once gave me the ultimatum - have an injection at school or I'll lose the computer. I cried for hours, injections are my worst fear ever and the mention makes me nervous and I love my PC too much. SHe had only said it because I'd annoyed her, she didn't mean it, she isn't a cruel witch. She leaves that to me when I feel murderous

In this case , Chevalier, my addictions are:
1)Fantasy(mostly D&D(FR, DL, GH) and Tolkien)
    2)Computer games(especially CRPGs)
3)Sleep(yeah, I like sleeping a lot and cannot "function normally" if I don't sleep over 9 hours)
4)Reading books(any genre, as long as it is nice)
5)Food(I love food, that's why I'm *slightly* overweight)

I think that's all for now. The changes are not many, in comparison with my previous post.

Sorvo without beer! How dare you even suggest such a thing? Sorvo would die in minutes without the tubes connected to every major artery pumping beer into his bloodstream ;)

Actually, I voted in the poll... ;)

True addictions? Things that I really couldn't function without? Just one - plenty of hugs from my family and friends.

Sorry to be sappy but I'm not into substances and the PC/Internet is nothing more than a distraction or hobby. If it went away, I'd just find something else to do.
