    I've been seeing so many 'What are these Gems?' and 'I miss my avatar' posts that im going insane, so here is the big finale, the showdown. Are the board changes for the better?

    [​IMG] The only new feature that i don't like is how you have to put in the member number to search for their posts. Why can't we just put the name in??? I don't know ANYONE'S number.

    Yes yes yes Z-layrex. Lets talk about the search engine! Good move.

    Why the hell is it only possible to date the search back to 30 days ago? When I can date back to 60, 100 even one year when reading posts. I need *THAT* freaking option more in the search engine. Where I actually wan't to *search* older posts, most likely older than 30 days but like not older than a year... Gaawd.

    And Why isn't there an option to Show the oldest posts first? The search engine sucks a lot more than it should, in my opinion.

    EDIT; And I miss Tal's small gadgets.

    The only other other new thing that annoys me is how we can't see who posted last in a certain topic anymore, especially annoying if you're waiting for a reply from someone.

    I'm about as laid back as you can get ... but I like the changes. So far, no problems with the new format, now complaints, no search attempts though ;)

    All in all, I say "Go Sorcerer! Woo Hoo!!"

    I like the new format. Especially the fact that you have to support the site to get a custom avatar. Makes it easier to see those who are here without supporting.

    [​IMG] Ok, on the search engine... As it is now, it's actuallly rather messed up. It keeps searching for the same thing and if it shows up in a thread 5 times it'll link to the thread 5 times. This will be fixed in the next version.

    On numbers... Yes, this is very annoying to me as well. However, there's a good reason for it. You're now able to change your display names (usernames that show on your posts) on the fly, so if you searched by name misses would be very frequent since users tend to change them more now. Your user number will be the same for life though. And it's isn't hard to find a user number, it's in everyone's profile. It'll be even easier in the next version of UBB since we'll get the Memberslist back. And Last Reply By will also be in the next version.

    So just have patience.
