    Hi Guys

Right, I want you all to do me a favour and go to this webpage: http://www.mfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,1~1721669,00.html and vote for Jeff Patterson.

He's a friend of mine and earlier in the year he walked from Middlesbrough to London (300 miles) to raise money for charity. Every season, Jeff walks to wherever Middlesbrough FC are playing their last game of the season and this year was London.
Anyway, I think he REALLY deserves to be supporter of the season so could you all help out by voting for him please?

I can't see any option to vote? The current poll is who will be their promotion challengers. I found a few bios for the supporter nominations, including Jeff's, but couldn't find any reference to the voting having started yet?

Please tell Jeff that all of us SPers are fervently wishing to see Boro make the Champions League final soon. I wonder does Vladivostok have a suitable stadium ? Oh, it doesn't. Only 10,500 capacity. Oh well.

New name for the European Cup, it's the biggest club competition. The important point is that if you make it to the final, it's the last game of the season. And it'll be in some random European city. Though given that Boro were just relegated I don't think Jeff will have to worry about it anytime soon. I think if you told him Boro were going to be in it he'd be delighted to walk!

Actually it's possible to walk from Middlesbrough to Vladivostok, given that you can walk under the English Channel nowadays. Dublin would be far more problematic for him, since they haven't built a bridge or a tunnel to Ireland yet. :D
