[IMG] My first time playing through the game was with Dwarven Fighter Dolgan Goldenaxe and Halfling/Fighter/Thief Taslehoff Birfoot... After reconsidering I thought that however is good the Fighter/Thief, he is useless next to the Fighter/Cleric I passed the game with only Dolgan Dual Class Fighter/Cleric, who was grizzly bear at the end of the game... So my point is: has someone passed the game with a solo character? And what it is? P'rhaps Mage(nearly impossible it seem to me) or Fighter/Thief(more possible)...

If you know where *all* the traps are, it's possible with a mage. You'll have a wicked time. You'll have to buff up your strength with the gloves, first chance you get simply because you'll need to carry 200lbs of healing potions to even be able to get anywhere. Drop them at the entrance of the dungeon, and go back to heal yourself.

    And, Heart of Fury?

    No.

    Just no.

Them's the brakes on that one. You get swarmed with the HoW expansion installed, just because they call for backup.

I've posted about 20 times on this in the past, so you may want to do a search on solo IWD. I've played the game with the expansion(s) several times solo and I LOVED IT!

I used an Elf F/M/T every time.

Yes, a FMT can make it. You'll level up like crazy.

And you can do it with a Fighter/Cleric, too.

    Just not a pure mage.

Or a Halfling F/T... Thiefs are a bit lacking at Icewind Dale, so for the Halfling there isn't other option except being F/T... :D
