Nothing too detailed? Well.. let's say it's a game which includes fighting, talking, talking, thinking, and some more talking. When you begin the game, you start out at a very interesting place knowing that you don't remember anything. Soon after you'll start to venture around, make friends and find out more about what's going on.

The world itself is pretty detailed (not graphically, but in the actual "informational" content), and you can expect to bump in to a lot of things that are quite uncommon in normal games. The atmosphere is rather dark, but it doesn't depress you, rather it fits in perfectly. All in all, the game with its atmosphere and content is a whole other world, literally, than probably any other game you've played before. It's confusing, though in a reasonable manner. And clearly a lot of thought and research has been put to it.

If you like simple-minded whacking/adventuring, forget this one. If you have nothing against tens of hours of intense dialogue etc, then go for it.

Planescape: Torment is the equivalent to the Lord of The Rings, and the world described in Torment is equivalent to the Middle Earth. That gives a pretty good idea of what it is like. Some battle, lots of dialogue, and an entire world of stories and legends of things that have nothing directly to do with the main character (or main quest) himself.

[IMG] It's about a quest to remember, mostly on the interative side of things instead of cutting your way through a load of enemies. There is combat obviusly, but the emphasis is on the roleplaying. The world seem's familiar, with a load of fun easter eggs in it and a great deal of humour in its dark atmosphere. If you want the thinking man's CRPG go for this one, even if you don't go for this one, you won't be dissapointed.
I have to confess that I wish PST was the game that got a load of expansions and a sequal with expansions to make it the epic it deserves to be.

    [IMG] Cheap?
The game should be available for about $10 I think, so how much cheaper does it get in Hong Kong?
