[IMG] When my wife got home at 11.00 last night all she wanted to talk about was a new washing mashine. All I had a head for were my own problems:

    1) I've got a neurotic elf that I need to mollycoddle every couple of hours to prevent her from becoming manic depressive (I hope my wife doesn't find out about this one).

    2) I've got a druid on my back about visiting some blasted grove. We've been there already, but he was such a wimp at the time that he lost 10 times, so I've had to go out adventuring in order to beef him up a little.

    3) I've got a workaholic brother paladin in my group with marital problems because he's never home. When he does finally get there he finds out that his wife is having an affair and so he ups and leaves to go and sort out his problems. Not only does this leave me in the lurch for my babysitting (see 4), I miss the guy. I'm a paladin myself and I'd gotten used to the comradeship of a fellow brother, not to mention the extra muscle power. I then spend all night fretting about him and wondering whether he's been beaten to a pulp by the guy who's 'doin' his misses'. The first time I show up at the Brothers, he's not there, so I hot-foot it over to his estate to check, where I'm given the cold shoulder by the servants. In the end I spent the night in some toss-pot inn and went back to find that his problems were sorted. Man was I glad to see him (especially as he had my dragon sword). It wouldn't be so bad, but I only went to the government district to get a magic-casting liscence in order to protect my ward!!! Then he surprises me by saying that he needs to visit his family... To cap it all on the way back to the Docks, I have to see a drow go up in smoke because I can't hack down all those civilians in cold blood.

    4) I've got some bratty teenager to watch over who doesn't want to be watched and who the slavers are desparately interested in. After finally pursuading her to go to her room, I despatch the first lot of assasins (downstairs and up). In the morning this surly snob turns up. I don't know the guy from Adam, nor does the brat, and so after surrepticiously casting detect evil I decide, along the lines of one Mr. Frodo Baggins that evil would 'look fairer but seem fouler' (please correct my quote if I'm wrong), to give him the benefit of the doubt and then spend the whole journey back to the Radiant Heart worrying about whether or not I've done the right thing. And I KNOW that I can't screw up this time, after having irritated the Baron so much that blood had to be shed.

So, it's off to the Grove for me tonight, and then I've got to pay a certain dragon a visit regarding a certain sword...

I tell you, role playing don't get much better than this!

Haha! I loved that post! So much energy and thought went into it, so you've inspired me of sorts and here is my go at my own situation.

Just recently, I darted out from the depths below, my own eyes and body shaken up by the very meeting of an ancient Red Dragon who mocked me as I went on my allowing him to live. Dusting off my sleeves, I sighed knowing that my return to Athkatla was going to be a difficult one and as I glanced back to the members of my party who returned their own stare, I thought to myself who was going to have to be let go.

There was a girl that needed help and one who's brown eyes I could not get out of my mind and knowing her return would mean the depature of one of my companions pained me so.

Nalia would have to wait though, returning to Athkatla would only make matters worse and I for one was not ready to deal with such a choice so soon.

Turning our direction away from the Windspear Hills, I lead the group to Trademeet, which is where my adventure begins on the eve of tomorrow, when the quarter moon rises over the changing autumn trees.

    Syl...

[IMG] As for dealing the druid.. I sorta got lucky.. What I ended up doing, in the middle of the fight, I noticed that I had a charm person spell and used it on her.. Then I used up her spells and summoning spells. Then attacked her.. Her creatures (and not having any spells) attacked her (under my control) and I just basically knocked her down fast and hard after that (w/ help of course)
