I never tried it but I think you can't pickpocket Holy Avenger, maybe you can pickpocket gems and gold. I didn't hear anybody with 2 Holy Avengers but if it is possible, it will be cool

you can't pickpocket dragons at all that I'm aware of. I've tried on different ones. (though not Firkraag. I just plain enjoy killing him.)

Improved Firkraag starts the battle as a human form so you can pickpocket him? He dual-wields two very cool and powerful weapons! (they level drain, cast Insect Plague, add huge fire damage, VERY nasty weapons!)

I tried to steal from two of them dragons with my bards. The Silver Dragon  as well as the [removed ToB content] . With Adalon it didnt work, and I all got from the [removed ToB content].

Hm. That doesnt really answer the question, though I dont think you can get the Holy Avenger this way.

Edit -- Ack, remembered I was posting in the SoA forum just in time, it seems. Perhaps the mods will leave me off easy. :D

Since Firkraag does not have Carsomyr equipped, it's technically pickpocketable; whether you can pickpocket dragons or not is something I've never bothered to find out. However, you won't get two of them. With Kangaxx (and Tolgerias for the RotR), there are two different creatures (i.e. CRE files or just iterations of the same file) that each have the ring, so you can pickpocket from the first one and then kill the second one. But there's only one Firkraag, so even if you pickpocketed it, he wouldn't drop another one because he doesn't have it anymore.

The only exception might be Improved Firkraag if the first form has a Holy Avenger, though I doubt the modders would bother to put it on him just to create an exploit. ;)

I was able to pickpocket the Silver Dragon while she was in human form. You must be very quick because she's only in that form for a second or two after showing you the way out of the Underdark.

Whether an item can be pickpocketed or not depends on a flag being set on it in the file of the creature carrying it.

His Red Dragon Scales are set as being unstealable, but Carsomyr is not.

I never could get close enough to a large dragon to pickpocket them. My thief would try walking around it from every angle but since it was so large he/she could never do it.
