Yesterday when I was at BIG LOTS I picked up Loki: Heroes of Mythology and Gothic 3, both collectors editions. I am close to completing NWN2 SoZ and have no new games to play, so I thought these two could keep my entertained until December.

Has anyone played these games before? If so, what did you like and dislike about the game?

I played Gothic 3 a while ago, and it was ok.
Had some trouble with fighting (especially in scripted mass fights) but that could entirely be me - never was great at third-person fights.
    All in all, not bad.

The biggest Ibug have read about on Gothic 3 was that if you were able to click really fast on the mouse you would end up being able to beat a really hard bady at level 1 but for some weird reason a level 1 animal could take out your character who could be at maximum level. Though, the latest patches were suppose to fix that issue.

A friend of mine has both and I played them on his PC. I had a very positive impression of Gothic 3, it seemed to have a huge world with many quests and many different ways to complete these quests, by betraying one questgiver to another, and so on. There was a big issue with stun lock (not so much a bug as very silly design) but that's been fixed in the latest community patch.

I don't remember Loki as well. It seemed alright but there was nothing very innovative about it. My friend still liked it a lot though.

I played both games now a bit; however, I was unable to play Gothic 3 as I have a high degree of motion sickness.

Loki is fun and helps past the time as I wait Dragon Age and White Knight on the PS3.
