Ok, before i do something stupid. I was just offered to meet this lady in the graveyard, Dunno what thats about... then this kid offers me the same thing but froma differnt guy... I dont wanna do something thats gunna end up in an ambush like the Harper quest i just did. I could also pay off the guy in the slums, because i completed a quest. and now have like 25,000
Im doing everything completly differnt this time around, and i dont wanna do something stupid.

This is your second time through the game? Well just save the game before you choose 'which' path you want to do business with, also role play your party/characters alignment. It's all up to you.

It appears that BG2 is FAR less linear in some respects & doesn't have the MAJOR penalizations that you may have found in BG1/Xpan or IWD. You can be EVIL if you so choose, or GOOD if you so choose. Give it a shot or... not.

I played two parallel games last time up to about chap 4 making different decisions etc. I found no major penalties but as mentioned I only went ot chap 4 in one of the games, the other game I finished all the way through.

Well this time, im doing all the quests i can find. But im level 9 and i was led into an ambush by Jahiera(not on purpose) and i font want that to happen again... (i mean i got the strategy down good now), so i dealt with the pack of 6 with no problem, But still that hurt! if my main char wasnt half-orc with 6 invested in katana (along with haste) ok and a few lower resistance spells... I woulda been torn up!

  4. I did notice that when you have good characters in your party they will warn you if you are offered an evil quest (like when you talk to Bohdi in the Graveyard), so that was my guide to whether I should accept a quest or not. Sometimes it's obvious (doing the Human Flesh armor quest is definitely not something that's going to raise your standing in the eyes of the heroes guild).

I have taken note of those situations and when I play with my evil party I will explore them.
